The Argentinian guitarist Pablo Marquez is considered today as one of the most accomplished and versatile virtuosi of his instrument. Outstanding interpreter of contemporary music, who collaborates regularly with groups such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain, he is equally acclaimed for his passionated and equilibrated versions of the historical masterpieces as well as the Argentine traditional music.
He started his guitar studies at the age of 10, and three years later he gave his first performance with orchestra in Salta, the city in the Northwest of Argentina where he grew up and received his first training. He then studied in Buenos Aires with Jorge Martinez Zarate and Eduardo Fernandez. His student period came brillanty to an end with the unanimous First prizes at the Villa-Lobos and Radio France international competitions in Rio de Janeiro and Paris respectively. Later prizes at the Geneva and Munich competitions confirmed his outstanding and rare artistry. A complete musician, he studied conducting with Eric Sobzyck, Rodolfo Fischer and Peter Hive's, and followed the teaching of the legendary pianist Gyorgy Sebok, who made on him the most profound and lasting impression.
His career evolves in more than 40 countries, being acclaimed at the most prestigious halls (e.g., Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires, Herkulessaal in Munich, Auditorio Reina Sofia in Madrid, National Recital Hall in Taipei, Theatre du Chatelet and Philharmonie in Paris), as well as great festivals (e.g., Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Ultraschall in Berlin, Musica in Strasbourg, San Sebastian...). He established fruitful collaborations with musicians such as Anja Lechner, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Dino Saluzzi, Maria Cristina Kiehr, the Rosamunde Quartett of Munich and Mario Caroli. He is regularly invited to perform as soloist with great orchestras and ensembles (e.g., Bayerische Rundfunk of Munich, Sinfonieorchester des WDR Koln, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Philharmonie Baden-Baden, Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, Nouvel Ensemble Moderne de Montreal, Plural Ensemble of Madrid, Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional de Colombia), under de baton of Susanna Malkki, Dennis Russel Davies, Lorraine Vaillancourt, Josep Pons, Ernest Martinez Izquierdo, Christian Ehwald, Tomaz Golka, Mark Foster, Pavel Baleff, Jean-Michael Lavoie, Fabian Panisello, Manuel Gandulf, Michail Jurowski and others.

His continuous commitment to contemporary music has led to several first performances and to close collaborations with the greatest composers of our time such as Luciano Berio, Gyorgy Kurtig and Mauricio Kagel. Pierre Boulez invited him to play Berio Sequenza XI for the 70th birthday celebrations of the Italian composer. Zad Moultaka, Javier Torres Maldonado, Oscar Strasnoy, Arthur Kampela, Dino Saluzzi, Felix Ibarrondo, Ramon Lazkano, Ahmed Essyad, Fuminori Tanada and Atanas Ourkouzounov, among others, wrote pieces for him.
His discography - ECM, Naive and Kairos a.o - includes first recordings of pieces by Berio (Chemins V for guitar & orchestra), Francesconi (A Fuoco for guitar & ensemble), Moultaka (Hanbleceya for guitar & 15 musicians), Ibarrondo, Maresz, Mantovani and Cassado, and has been awarded with the Grand Prix du Disque of the Academie Charles Cros, the italian Amadeus Prize, the RTL Classique d'Or, and were designed as Best Early Music recording by the Neue Musik Zeitung in Germany and Best Classical Music recording of the year by Readings in Australia. El Cuchi bien temperado, an ECM production dedicated to the music of Gustavo Leguizamón, found a huge resonance in the international press and was selected as one of the Best 100 Recordings of 2015 (all genres) by the american journalist Ted Gioia. His last Schubert recording with Anja Lechner, Die Nacht, is since three months on the Top 20 Klassik-Charts in Germany.
Pablo Marquez is Professor at the Musik-Akademie of Basel. He received the Konex Prize in Buenos Aires for his career and is since 2006 Honorary Citizen of the City of Salta.

Vasile Danciu was born in Tirgu-Lapis, Romania. He started learning classical guitar with Prof. Marinal Petreus at the High School in Baia Mare where he received the Award of the Foundation "Pro Musica".
He started his classical guitar studies at the Music Academy "Gheorghe Dima" in Cluj Napoca with Prof. Constantin Andrei and continued at the Music Conservatory "Prayner Konservatorium" and at the University of Music and Arts "Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität" (MUK) in Vienna with Univ.-Prof.Mag.Artd. Jorgos Panetsos.
At the "MUK" he has acquired the Bachelor- and Master of Arts Degrees with great distinction. He also received the scholarship for excellence "Leistungsstupendium" from the city of Vienna".
After finishing his studies, he began teaching classical guitar at the "Ghoetheanistic Conservatory" and in 2018 at the "Amadeus Music and Arts Academy" (AMAA) in Vienna

Bozhana Pavlova was born in Pleven, Bulgaria. From 2003 to 2008 she studied guitar at the National Music School "Ljubomir Pipkov" in Sofia with Prof. Stolina Dobreva. After that she became a student at ConservatoryVienna PrivateUniversity in the class of Prof. Jorgos Panetsos. In 2012 she began her Master's degree in classical guitar. In addition, Bozhana is studying pedagogics for guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna with Prof. Walter Würdinger.
Bozhana is a laureate of a number of guitar competitions in Italy, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro and Germany – 2nd Prize at Niksic Guitar Festival 2014, 1st Prize at the international competition “Giovani Musicisti - Città di Treviso” 2013 in Italy for classical guitar and 3rd Prize in the category for contemporary music, 2nd Prize at Omis Guitar Fest 2013, 3rd Prize at International Guitar Competition, Tirana 2013 and 3rd Prize at International Guitar Competition in Niksic 2013.
In 2012 she won the special prize "Fernando Sor" for the best interpretation of a classical piece in Erwitte, Germany. In the same year she was a finalist at Forum Gitarre Wien. In 2011 she won the first prize at the international competition "Young Virtuosos" in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has given concerts in Hungary, Great Britain, Austria, Bulgaria and China.
Bozhana received grants for high artistic achievements from the Austrian Federal Ministry for education, arts and culture (2014); Conservatory Vienna Private University (2013); University for Music and Performing Arts, Vienna (2012) and the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture (2006).

She attended masterclasses of David Russell, Aniello Desiderio, Carlo Marchione, Marcin Dylla, Olaf Van Gonnissen, Ivo Kaltchev, Dale Kavanagh, George Vassilev, Hopkinson Smith, Gerhard Reichenbach and many others.

Andrea De Vitis graduated with full marks from the Conservatory “Morlacchi” (Perugia, Italy) in the class of Leonardo De Angelis. He continued his studies at “SegoviaGuitarAcademy” (Pordenone, Italy) with Paolo Pegoraro and Adriano Del Sal; he attended masterclasses with Oscar Ghiglia, Carlo Marchione, Arturo Tallini, Pavel Steidl, Frédéric Zigante, Carles Trepat, Piero Bonaguri among others.
In the last few years he won more than 25 prizes in many international competitions. Among the most important are: first prize at Forum Gitarre Wien, Budapest International Guitar Competition, Gargnano International Competition, Mottola International Competition, Alirio Diaz Competition and Claxica International Competition; second prize at Sinaia International Competition; third prize at Tychy International Competition, Mercatali European Competition and Rust International Competition.
As a recognition of his artistic merit, in 2013 he received the “Golden guitar award” for the best up-and-coming guitarist of the year at the 18th International Guitar Convention “Pittaluga” held in Alessandria.
Andrea De Vitis has performed in prestigious concert halls in Italy and many countries across Europe (Spain, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, CzechRepublic) and his recitals have been acclaimed by audience and press:

Olaf Van Gonnissen became known through his concerts together with Michael Teuchert as the Frankfurter Gitarrenduo. He is a member of: Mutare Ensemble Frankfurt, United Guitars, Ensemble Rilegato, Quartetto MaGiCo, Opal Gitarren Quartett and Aria-Quintett.
In addition to this he has made appearances as a member of various chamber music groups. Besides his teaching post at the Akademie für Tonkunst in Darmstadt and his professorship at the Musikhochschule in Hamburg he is a lecturer at diverse master classes and festivals, a juror at many international competitions and joint-editor of the new Karl Scheit Gitarren Edition at the Universal Edition publishing house.
He has a special interest in practising the performance of old music on historical instruments such as lute, vihuela and baroque guitar.
